Top Ten Reasons Why You Don't Need Medical Insurance!

What most people don't realize is that when they buy medical insurance, unless they are heavy users or likely to become heavy users, they are actually helping to pay for other people's medical services. The shocking part is that increased usage of medical services doesn't deliver better health outcomes. HOw many of the following statements apply to you?

1. Fifty percent (50%) of healthcare dollars are spent in the last three months of life. You are a believer in the right to die, have forbidden resuscitation efforts and don't want to prolong your life when you are no longer in control.

2. Ten percent (10%) of the US population accounts for 64% of healthcare dollars spent. You aren't part of the 10%.

3. Over fifty percent (50%) of Americans including adults and children are taking at least one pill a day. Among seniors, 28 percent of women and nearly 22 percent of men take five or more medicines regularly. You aren't one of them.

4. Most preventive and wellness care is not covered by insurance. You take care of yourself and don't lead an extreme lifestyle.

5. You are willing to shop overseas. A lot of times, you can buy prescription drugs or treatment overseas for slightly more than your co-pay would be in the US.

6. You are likely to deny treatment because of the side-effects.

7. You don't want to pay thirty-five percent (35%) in administrative costs; you rather just pay your doctor directly.

8. You don't like to fight with the middleman to obtain the treatments you do decide to have especially considering that the middleman is earning a 25% profit on your healthcare.

9. You exercise regularly, are not overweight and don't smoke.

10. Five of the above apply to you. You realize that your cost to pay your healthcare expenses directly is cheaper, more effective and less hassle that if you were paying for insurance.
