The 5 Fundamentals Truths About Employee Benefit Plans (Day 3 of 5, Course)

One of the most valuable things you can have is a group of Employee Leaders who are raving fans of your company. Use our system and you'll have this down cold.

The core ingredient to creating Raving Employees is CREDIBILITY and COMMUNICATION.

For most business-to-employee relationships, an effective employee benefit communication process is the simplest way to gain credibility with employees.

It is a public statement about how the company cares for and rewards the value employees bring to the company.

Promoted and leveraged properly, your employee benefit program will create new employee "CONVERTS" ever day. Be purposeful, use your program to impact employee culture, and watch what happens.

Having two-way communication with employees about their problems, gaining agreement on their problems, and then providing solutions that work can be the most powerful feature of your benefit plan.

Your job is to continuously advertise the company's commitment to employee well being. In essence, you are trading it for your employees' positive responses, and nurturing WORD OF MOUTH.

If you haven't already, you might consider reading Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point, a tremendous book and fun read. In the book, Gladwell talks at length on the dynamics of social systems, and specifically on how information is transferred from person to person.

It turns out there are only a few key people you need to have on board to create a word-of-mouth epidemic. Literally, in a workforce of 100 there are likely less than 5 people you would need to have as raving employees in order to create a huge "APPRECIATION EPIDEMIC" for your employee benefit plan.

Wouldn't that be great!

So, put some time into your planning strategy and figure out who the movers and shakers are in your company. Devote extra effort to them and then sit back and watch them sell the rest of your company on how great a place it is to work!

Tomorrow: HR Integrity is CRITICAL!
